Teasers–A Little Bit of Everything

Though I haven’t posted in quite some time, I have definitely been a busy little bee.  I’ve been second shooter for a wedding with Chickey of ChickeyPics.com; done a family session as well as a senior session.

Here is a little taste of each of those adventures–

Spencer — Senior Session

I’ve known Spencer since she was about 7 years old…. She’s been a neighbor for about 9 years and a great friend to my baby sister ever since we moved into the neighborhood.

I can’t believe she’s already a senior in high school…. how much she’s grown!

What a coy smile…  she appears to be innocent but I beg to differ.

So grown up!

We totally braved the treacherous tree… not to mention all of the exoskeletons left behind from the cicadas….  GROSS!

The Sacred Have Fallen

A few weeks ago, Chickey and I were asked to shoot these fellows during their show at Davey’s Uptown.  You’ll notice that most of the pictures are in black and white… Unfortunately they had red lights on them for most of their performance which was quite frustrating for the photographers — so monochrome seemed to be the way to do it.

Needless to say it was a memorable experience–I had never been privy to the intense atmosphere at a metal show but it was a great time and I look forward to shooting more of these guys in the future!

Business Trip or Photographic Excursion? Or Both…

I recently traveled to Lake of the Ozarks on a business trip this past week.  I felt compelled to take my camera (DUH)…

Strangely enough we ended up staying very close to the spot that my girls and I take weekend trips to… Lots of learning, lots of fun… and some great pictures snapped in between.

Yep… we really did see this.  I’m curious as to what exactly a “Testicle Festival” involves–

On our way out of Jefferson City…

The lady that was in the bathroom thought I must have crawled out from under a rock… She seemed concerned that I was taking pictures of the hand-washing station.

However, how could I not feel totally compelled to take a picture of the MOST automated hand washing-station I’ve ever seen?  You don’t even have to take your hands out of the sink to dry them!!!!

MMMMMMM Pineapple Upside Down Cake (n’ ice cream)

I call this “total destruction”–and a nap waiting to happen.  It once was chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes with broccoli cheese casserole… oh and the pineapple upside down cake too.  Needless to say I felt a nap coming on something fierce shortly after finishing this meal.

Hannah Maternity Session

First–I LOVE working with Chickey we always have SUCH a blast! Not to mention the fact that the Bolecox was there.. and the ever-so-lovely Hannah and baby Kinley (can’t wait for her to get here!!).

I’m sad to announce that my favorite family of models is getting ready to embark on a new chapter in life–in Texas.

So, before they left, they asked to have one more family session with just the girls.  We spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon at Antioch Park.  The girls were awesome (as always–especially with the enticement of ice cream) and we had a special guest (their nanny) Carrie come join the fun.
